Do Something Special!
VOLUNTEER!

Utah FACES and Salt Lake County Animal Services frequently use volunteers in dozens of important ways!

Everything that Utah FACES does involves volunteers. Utah FACES is a totally volunteer organization – there is no paid staff. Volunteers are needed to help with nearly all of the projects that are undertaken during the year, such as:

      • tables and booths at several animal-friendly activities,
      • clinics where Utah FACES helps Salt Lake County Animal Services provide spay & neuter surgeries, rabies shots, microchip insertions, and various other healthy pet vaccinations,
      • The Utah FACES Doggie Olympics,
      • The annual Utah FACES Calendar project,
      • The Utah FACES Spring Yard Sale,
      • And other projects still being developed!

Go to the ABOUT US page for Utah FACES contact information.

Send us an email -
Volunteers@UtahFACES.org - let us know you’re interested in helping. We’ll be happy to include you in some of our next projects.

We really need all our volunteers to keep a log of their activities. This Volunteer Log
[Click Here]  can be used by individuals or groups to help us keep track of volunteer hours and activities. Merely download and print the form, fill it out for each day or week as appropriate, and send it back to us at your earliest convenience!

Also, Salt Lake County Animal Services needs dozens of volunteers throughout the year. Although activities vary from time to time, especially as they may be related to weather and seasonal factors, examples of volunteer activities can include any and all of the following:

      • Taking some of the dogs on walks,
      • Cleaning kennels and other animal spaces,
      • Assisting regular shelter staff with various animal projects,
      • Supervising outdoor doggie play groups,
      • Making data entries into the shelter’s computer system,
      • Welcoming and assisting people who come to the shelter looking for their lost pets or hoping to find that special new forever friend
      • And wherever your special talents can add value to the life of a needy animal.

Call or stop in at the Salt Lake County Animal Services to get more information about how you can become a member of their volunteer crew.
